We’ve designed our process to make remodeling clear, organized, and genuinely enjoyable—from the first conversation to the final walkthrough. One connected team handles your project, simplifying decisions and keeping the work moving.
Our goal is simple: excellent design, honest communication, efficient execution, and a beautiful kitchen delivered without the stress or drawn-out timelines homeowners often expect.
Kitchen Remodel Process
Our business model is: exceptional design + focused, fast execution
Step 1: Visit Our Kitchen
Walk through a real, lived in space
We invite you into our home to see our kitchen in person. Photos can only show so much. Walking through a real space helps you experience the quality, functionality, and feel of the kitchens we create.
You’ll see the exact cabinet system we use, explore finishes, open drawers, and ask questions. It’s a chance to get comfortable with our materials, process, and people before moving forward.
What you can expect:
-
A visit to our home in Columbus
-
An up-close look at our cabinet system and finishes
Outcome: You decide if you like our cabinet system.
Step 2: Vision Meeting
Let’s talk about your kitchen.
Before we meet, you’ll complete a 30-minute online questionnaire about how you live, cook, gather, and entertain. This gives us a starting point for an in-home conversation about your goals, style, timeline, and investment range.
What you can expect:
-
Online questionnaire
-
One-hour in-home meeting
-
Inspiration and style review
-
Initial budget conversation
-
Clear next steps
Outcome: A shared understanding of your vision and clarity if we’re a good fit for your project.
Step 3: Proposal
Let’s do this.
We’ll provide a detailed project proposal and contract outlining your scope, estimated cost, and timeline.
What you can expect:
-
Project overview and timeline
-
Budget range
-
Contract and next steps
-
$1,000 design deposit due at signing to advance to the Design Phase
Outcome: Both parties feel good about the project.
Step 4: Design
Turning ideas into a real plan.
We create a layout that maximizes space, flow, and function, then work with you to layer in materials and details that reflect your style. Our curated selections make design decisions easier, while budget-aligned options keep the vision practical.
What you can expect:
-
Optimized space planning with 3D renderings
-
Curated material selections
-
Budget-aligned design options
-
Final design and solid project quote
-
50% of project cost is due upon scheduling the Build.1 phase
Outcome: A kitchen design you love.
Step 5: Build.1
The build begins.
With design decisions complete, we bring your kitchen to life. We manage the details, communicate daily, and work with excellence to keep your project moving. We want to change the industry standards and make the build process (well, how to do we say this?) NOT a big pain.
We have two build phases because the focus of each phase is different. In the "Build.1" phase, we'll do everything required before the countertop measure. Since waiting on the countertop fabrication often delays projects, this allows us to measure early and keep working during countertop fabrication.
What you can expect:
-
Detailed project management
-
Regular progress updates
-
Excellent craftsmanship
-
25% of project cost due at countertop measurement
Build.1 includes:
-
Site preparation
-
Demolition
-
Structural work and wall prep
-
Flooring
-
Installation of lower cabinet frames
-
Measure for countertops
Outcome: A strong foundation for a smooth, efficient remodel.
Step 6: Build.2
Keep the project moving.
Countertop fabrication can add weeks to a remodel. Instead of stopping work, we use that time to keep building. While your countertops are being made, we continue with the remaining cabinet installation and other finishing work. Our two build phases on either side of the countertop measure is our secret to how remodel kitchens fast!
What you can expect:
-
Continued work while countertops are fabricated
-
Daily progress updates
-
Excellent craftsmanship
Build.2 includes:
-
Upper and pantry cabinet frame installation
-
Cabinet doors and drawers
-
Additional options, such as lighting
-
Countertop installation
-
Backsplash installation
-
Thorough cleanup
Outcome: An efficient remodel that keeps moving.
Step 7: Finish
Take a look around.
The final walkthrough is one of our favorite moments. We’ll review your new kitchen together, make any necessary adjustments, and ensure everything meets your expectations.
What you can expect:
-
Final inspection and walkthrough
-
Fixes as requested
-
Remaining 25% of project cost due upon completion
Outcome: A beautiful, functional kitchen ready for everyday life.
Step 8: Warranty & Fixes
Enjoy your new kitchen.
Once you begin using your kitchen, we remain available to help with any necessary adjustments. We’ll hand over your cabinet warranty and make sure you have what you need to enjoy your new space for years to come.
What you can expect:
-
Two months to report any necessary fixes
-
25-year limited cabinet warranty
-
Ongoing support for your kitchen
Outcome: Confidence in your new kitchen and the people who built it.
